About the Company

The Norddeutsche Konzertdirektion (NDKD) has been working with the most renowned and innovative companies in the ballet and dance theater scene from all over the world for more than 60 years and is the market leader. There is probably no art form that can be expressed more directly and better in love, passion, pain and despair than through dance.

NDKD was founded by Melsine Grevesmühl in the summer of 1958 and initially specialized in acting and music. In the 1960s, however, NDKD dared to be the first European agency to bring modern dance to Germany and Europe.

At the end of the 1970s, Melsine's oldest son, Wolfgang Grevesmühl, entered the business. In 1992 the Norddeutsche Konzertdirektion became the Norddeutsche Konzertdirektion Melsine Grevesmühl GmbH with Melsine and Wolfgang Grevesmühl as managing partners. The double leadership becomes a tradition: In 2001 - after the departure of the founder - her granddaughter Franziska Grevesmühl von Marcard took over and expanded the company beyond the borders of Europe.

The company's slogan is… "more than dance".
