The DACRU DANCE COMPANY (DACRU) was founded in 1996 by the Italian choreographer Marisa Ragazzo and the Iranian dancer and choreographer Omid Ighani and is one of the most representative companies of the urban dance scene in Europe.
Marisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighani love experiments and the fusion of languages and styles. Together with their dancers they create a new dance narrative in a mixture of break dance, hip-hop and house-dance, as well as contemporary dance and jazz-rock. Furthermore, speed and technical virtuosity are combined with these (street-) arts on theater stages.

"Sometimes it flows smoothly from the head to the tips of the toes, sometimes bodies jerk like robots or each limb pulls in a different direction [...]"
Corinna Raupach, Südkurier, 08.2018
„With an innovative artistic language, thought of as anime, this production of DaCru is a loving, painful and ironic aberration through the secret souls of these women.“
