About the Company

420PEOPLE, named after the Czech country code, was founded by Václav Kuneš and Nataša Novotná in 2007, after they returned home from one of the most prestigious dance theatres – Jiří Kylián's Nederlands Dans Theater. 420PEOPLE is a fusion of outstanding dance quality, professionalism, sophisticated playfulness, and true daringness.

The company is a collective of artists, who insist on the values of exceptional quality of performance and professionalism. Their pieces are playful and courageous, bringing on stage a diverse vocabulary of contemporary dance.

Václav Kuneš together with his colleagues from diverse art‘s fields carry out their artistic vision and effort to produce works of the label Made By Czech that are integral parts of the international dance scene.

At the same time 420PEOPLE values on combining their own work with that of renowned artists such as Jiří Kylián and Ohad Naharin.
